Default It happened!!

Hey all, Well it happened. Last week I dropped my first bike. Came up to an unmarked patch of gravel that the city decided to make by ripping up the pavement. Tried to steer out of it, BAM, down I went. Anyways, I'm OK and the bike is a bit scratched up. Nothing major. BUT, the sh*tty thing is, it was my step-dads bike. Thank God he had an engine guard on his.

My question is, is there something OTHER then an engine guard that I can purchase for my bike that will help protect the tank, fender etc. if I happen to lay mine down? I hate the looks of an engine guard. They look ok if ya got the bags, big seat etc., but not on my bike.

What about a Mustache bar?

Thanks

Just suck it up and get an engine guard. It may not look the coolest on your bike...but you'll be soooooooo happy you got it the day your bike gets knocked over in some parking lot. Or worse yet, you get knocked off the freeway by a semi (like happened to me). That engine guard saved my leg.

If anybody would poke fun, it'd be you man!! lol Thanks for the vid

Yeah, but I'd think I rather it be mine. It sucks a$$ that it was the old mans. Gotta live with that sh*t. But, at the same time, I'd be needin a $3000 paint job, at least.

I was thinking a Kury Mustache bar. They look all right. Not sure if they stick out far enough

LOL!!!

Man I have seen what happens to the tall *** Softail FX bikes when they go down unprotected. It aint a good thing. You would have been needing some stuff for sure. They are so derned tall stock hence they fall far!!!

You color scheme and overall look dictates that you can easily pull off the Engine guard without losing a beat.

In my case it wouldnt work out so good. Would look outta place and outta sorts.

Buy the dammed guard!!

It may even enhance the overall Nova Scotian hardcore look!!
