I went with the apes. I have 16" wild one chubbies on my Springer and I really like the old school look that it gives my bike. I am 6' tall and when I sit on my bike, the handles comes to about my shoulders. I also used the Wild One website to look at pics of the apes for my Springer. That website is a good source of into if a person wants new bars on their scoot. Good luck
You can see the 518's on my bike, pics of which are just above your own pics (nice bike, by the way) here. I used the stock cables, and ran the wires through the bars.
Here's a hot tip. On the Wild1 website, you can order "seconds" of these and other bars, which have tiny flaws you usually can't even spot, at a huge discount. Mine had a tiny flaw that was covered by the grip. Just an FYI if you want to save a bit on money.
How much of a discount????? I saw that on the web site.

The bars look great on your bike. I think I'm sold! Nice to know you can save bucks by using your stock cables.
How do you find the reach to be compared to stock? How is it long trips? I'm 5'10"

I'm also 5'10", and these bars have much greater pullback than stock, so I find myself sitting in a very relaxed position. Of course, I also have the Mustang seat with backrest, so all in all it makes for a very luxurious, stress-free ride with none of the shoulder and neck pain I used to have. 200 miles go by like nothing.
If you call Wild1 and speak to John, if you tell him what you're looking for, your build, etc., he'll advise you on the best bar for your purposes. He told me that the 504s, for example, wouldn't leave my wrists in the right position and that using them would feel like I was pushing a wheelbarrow. Give him a call - his advice is free!
Sounds like the 518's are the ones for me. I will call John too. I'm saving my pennies. Today I'm getting passenger footboards. I would imagine the biggest part of the handlebar cost is installation. I wonder how many hours it took your dealer, or did you do the mods by yourself? My dealer charges $55 per hour.
By the way, I'm planning on getting a Mustang saddle just like you mentioned. These might become winter projects, just because I can save and won't be tempted to spend on chrome tidbits.

I seen the wild1 discount page, but you can order the bars from zanotti's and get 1st quality (no blems) for only $20 more.
If the blem is going to be covered up by grips or clamp ect. then no problem.
