I have no regret when I chose my Custom. It's seat is great for trips, solo or 2 up. I've even had other HD riders inquire where I got the seat from. With a few personal touches, it's a very comfortable bike. Good luck on deciding as they're both great, depending on what your looking to use it for.
Ride them both....Keep in mind what vision you have for your bike... and know if its a Rocker C that that standard seat will have to go... even ride a standard rocker to get a good feel...
The crew here has those rockers looking so badass with the heartland fender and seat deal or whateveer they are doing to lose that weird gap that you dern near couldnt ride it stock once you actually looked closer at these dudeses Rockers....
So you would almost be forced to go uber cool with the Heartland chit.....Just cuz' its so cool.
Hence the cost of a Rocker would be a bit higher but once properly outfittered with all the goodies and getting rid of the weird gap? They get kinda badass.
If you like timeless classic thing buy a Softail Custom...If you prefer slightly more cutting edge "Nuevo" custom kinda bike styling? Grab hold of a Rocker and dont look back!
Either way you win....
Me? I just do the Old Greaser Night Train. Its effective and easy to mod on the cheap.
i do love the softail custom and the rocker, but in my opinion, both look ugly when they are stock. after some aftermarket things are done to them, thats when they start looking badass. rockers ONLY look good to me if they have the heartland kit, without it they are just hideous. but i have seen some awesome badass rockers and softail customs on here, so it makes the choice hard.
