Default Quick Help Please!

I can't get my rear shocks back in! I put the bolts on to make them longer, to lower the bike, and since they are longer I can't finagle them back in. I've got the bike on a lift and I've got the rear tire on another lift pushing it up into the rear fender, which allows more room under the bike, but I need about another 1/4" to make it fit. Please help!

My air ride compressor went out and I just put my lowered shocks back in untill I can get a new compressor. I had the same problem. I took a big rubber hammer and knocked them in with that. A few good hits and they went right in.

Surprisingly the rubber hammer wouldn't work either. I actually had to remove the rubber bump stop at the top of the swingarm so that I could jack up the tire just a hair more to allow more room underneath, that's how close I was!

You might have already seen this site, but if not this will help.

Fatbills, while a great site, actually has NO advice for what I'm talking about. He just mentions, "drop in the shocks." It wasn't that easy! Hell, it wasn't even easy to get them out!

Dang! I guess my bumpstop must be a little smaller than yours or something. Mine wasn't that hard to get in with the rubber hammer. Now they are still a Bitch to get back out!
