Don't know where you're located, but down here in South Florida my spokes and hub on my '07 FXSTC started to show rust the first year. Dealer offered to polish them, no thanks. I clean the rust, oil them, repeat in a few weeks, clean oil repeat...
It seems this has always been so. Did the same with my brand new '68 Triumph back then too. Stainless spokes and hub would make it all go away.
