Thumbs up

Welcome to the world of cheap HD chrome. The only thing you can do now is get some chrome polish like Dupont 7 and once you get the cleaned up keep plenty of wax on them. Also brake dust is your ememy so get some good Lyndall dustless pads and that will really help as brake dust is real corossive.

+++ 1 ... turtle wax chrome polish works good as well ..... mine did the same thing ... it looked pritty at the dealer and a week of riding and I was polishing spokes ... I was going to powder coat the rim and get stainless spokes but thats going to be a winter project ...

Clean and wax rims religiously. PERIOD! Never let grime sit. Had wire wheels on my old Softail.
......We have salt in NY during winter months...DEADLY!

All you could do it clean and wax.
I use Limeaway on the rusty spokes with a toothbrush and then wash em down good, polish and wax. Then repeat in a month.

Polishing works, but polishing the spokes takes a lot of time. I would change the wheels, or powder coat them as the other posts suggested.

spoke Front and rear, no problem either,, clean 3-4 times a summer, clean and spray wd40 on them in winter.. store in heated garage probably helps a bunch, no moisture.

I heard of this problem when I had my Dyna, I found tha a good clean, a coat of polish is a good start, having done that the real winner I found was at the end of a ride, when you stop for the day or get home, a quick wipe over with a soft cloth keeps the rust and pitting away, I had no problems for the 18 months I had the Dyna and I use the same process on Fat Boys chrome wheels.

Ride safe
