Oh and for you guy saying those 1"belts should hold up on a 200mm tire bike you are wrong, out of Harley's mouth "those belts will not hold up to a launch at 2500-3000 rpms with that kind of power you may get 3-5 launches and thats about it go to a chain if you are putting the bike through that kind of abuse"
Just went on their site. They dont have a bolt on kit. U still have to measure offset for spacing and get a spacer made by them. So sort of they sell a bolt on kit. just nothing you can click and order remove old parts and install with no measuring.
I bought bakerdrive trains .500 offset sprocket. unfortunatly nobody informed me what size wheel spacer I was going to need. You said your .200 front required a .650 rear spacer evidently I'm still off by .240 Thanks cncfxstb...Belts are for holding your trousers up....
well its been a year since i have done the conversion to chain, and ended up having to pick and choose parts and machine my own spacer since nobody still makes a full kit for the 200mm softails I went with a .200 offset baker front sprocket, flat 54 tooth pbi rear sprocket and an ek chain, i used my belt pully for the spacer and machined it down to .650". As far as maintenance only one adjustment was needed at 5k on it, but fully cleaned and lubed every 1k. Sprocket wear is minimal and will probabbly have to replace at the end of the year but no prob there. All the mods that have been done to the bike this is by far one of the best things i have done.
Thanks for the good info. I cobbled together some spacers and am at .944 on the rear with the .500 front sprocket. The bike finally feels right. according to my 85 softy manual the chain is supposed to ride a bit looser than the belt...1.5 in. Zipper says they don't make a kit for the 200 tire, 3Guyz sells a bolt on kit for $425.00 but those seem like the only choices other than doing it yourself. Someone should sell the front sprocket and Rear spacer combo since actually those are the hard to find components.
I know this is old but I have a question on the front sprocket offset. One of you ran a .2" and the other a .5" offset front sprocket. I take it there is room for either....is one a better fit than the other
I'm running a kit from Zipper's Performance. 100% Bolt on. I made the conversion when I went to a 120" this past spring. The belt wouldn't hold on my 103", so I had no choice. Shitty part is you have to run a non o-ring chain due to clearance.
