So some of the guys I ride with think I might be taking corners a little too fast(was an avid rice burner rider for the past 9 years...and for that I appologize...) and i have the scrapes on my pegs, minimal chicken strips, and gouged gremlin bell to back up their complaints...I'm not sure, to me, it feels natural but they all say that watching me take a highway on-ramp makes them shiver. When I get home from work, I'll post some pictures of what I mean. Anyone else have pics of cornering damage?
Not me, but there's a dude in the general forum with a 103" Fat Bob. He's decked out in all black and a black full face in his sig pic and he has some serious peg scrapage picks posted on his account. I think he may live near the Dragon.
Bottom of the primary case, last year. It's worse now. I hear a lot about it, but I guess I'm just stuck on getting everything I can out of my bike. Also have an FZ1 with scarred peg feelers, and a BMW K1200LT that I've drug the lower fairing on.
For what it's worth, I just installed Works Performance shocks ('07 Deuce), and they're handling better than the 422's, but still need some adjustments. Once I get them dialed in, I'll post a summary of thier worth.
My bell has begun to ring, I guess Im getting more and more adventurous going in. By the looks of it, not much further past the bell and I will be on a peg. I can always hear the bell when it hits, kinda dinged up too.
My other ride is a 07 GSXR1000, which I love. My Night Train has been lowered which makes matters worse...I'm always dragging the bottom of my pipes or kick strand. That and the lack of a decent crusing speed are my only complaints with the NT.
