Are you looking at a new bike or just pondering to know?
Just pondering. Have always loved the Heritage....the green and grey or the pearl white evo nostalgia models have been a favorite of mine for a good decade. When I first saw the delux I would always mistake it for the Heritage. Just wondered what the "real" differences were. Thanks again.
well, obviously someone needs to set the record straight. The Heritage Classic, is for a person of refined taste and breeding. Designed for the stylish man who likes to ride in comfort. Pleasing to the eye, a true joy to ride. then there's the deluxe.....ah, what can I say, a sporty on steroids....
That girl's bike comment always gets the guys going.
Actually other than the obvious cosmetics, the only two major differences are the seat height and bars. But then make a big difference in the way the bike feels and rides imo.
My wife's bike feels lighter and handles better than my Heritage. When whe decided to start riding last May my original thought was for her to take my Heritage and I would trade up to a tourer. But the mini apes and taller seat made the bike seem too heavy to her, especially bringing it up off stand.
The shorter shock travel makes for a slightly stiffer ride and you'll scrape the boards more so with the Deluxe than with the Heritage. Very rare for me to scrape mine even with floorboard extensions but she scrapes her's regularly.
