does anyone know the differences in seats of the early and late models for softail. I have a custom hardtail, uses all pre 99 softail parts, and a early heritage seat, 2 up. I wonder if i can purchase late model solo without any fitment problems. pics on ebay look like the same mounting. BTW I'm 52 yrs young, have always loved the look and feel of a hartail, so i built this bike to my likes. so those of you who bash the HT's, your welcome to your opinion, I've had many bikes over the last 35 yrs and the ones I loved the most were always my HT's.

I made a corbin seat from 91 fit on my 05 but it didn't look right or feel right so I took it off, I like the way you sit in a pre 99 vs the newer ones the fx's anyway
well im widening a new heritage fender to cover a 200 tire, I could put mount holes in it, does it seem the seat shape and all are the same to where this would work. I just installed a heritage front fender over my 21" and like the look of the new heritage solo
