Default Solo seat question

I have a solo seat and I want to use it. When I take off the original seat the back of the seat has the screw that screws into the fender. What I use the solo seat the empty screw hole looks like crap. Can someone tell me where I can get some kind of cap for the fender? I also need to get them mounting hardware for the solo seat. There are two bolts that are on the underside of the seat near the rear of the seat.

There should have been a cap on the hole that the solo seat will mount to. if not, you got shafted.

Sorry man, I wrote that post way too quick. Anyway, the original seat on the bike mounts to the rear fender with a screw. When I take seat off there is an ugly hole in the fender. I'd like to know where I can get some type of cap that will cover the hole. My bike is a 2000 softail standard.

Your Harley dealership sells a little black plastic cap that just snaps into the rear fender hole.

Even though I don't have an answer to your question, I understood you on your original post. No need to apologize.

You Can get a Plastic Cap to plug the hole at most Hardware stores.

Plugging the hole in the fender is the easy part. As many have suggested you can get a HD cap, or a hardware store piece for just a few cents. The more difficult part is the mounting hardware for the seat. Places like J&P sell various adapter parts to mount the seat if you want it solid or spring mount. I'm not familiar with the type of bracket you show in the picture, and I'm not sure if it's a part of the seat or bolted on. I can say having mounted solo seats to all sorts of rigid and sprung frames you can make something work. My suggestion would be to take some better pictures of the seat and describe more fully what you are trying to do (e.g you want to mount it rigid or sprung).
