Thinking about getting the Cycle Shack slip ons......
For my 2010 Heritage Cycle Shack said I can use the MHD-235 or the 335. One is 2 1/2" diameter theother one is 3" diameter. A few questions...
I can install either one? In other words the 2 1/2 and the 3" will fit into the header? It is only the Diameter of the muffler I guess..
also....do you reuse the heat shields for extra protection???
anyother help or info you can give me will be appreciated....
to install it is the 2 bolts at the mounting bracket and the muffler clamp?
I have the passenger floorboards instead of the passenger pegs...that shouldn't affect the install of the muffler...should it??
Inlet size would be the same. Measure the muffler size on your bike so you can visualize what smaller or fatter would look look as well as for any potential clearance issues. Yes, re-use the shields (unless you want new ones) for cosmetics - they hide the blueing or heat discoloration of your primary pipes. Protection? They're hot too. (I'm talking temperature wise)
