Harley bubble
weathers started to change hear in scotland.......definatley getting colder. I was thinking about going down the harley bubble route..... does anybody have one of these?.....if so what do you think and do you know what the power rate is for it?.....if its on all the time 24/7 it must be very low other wise it wouldnt be cost effective.... any help would be appreciated.
I spend most of the winter doing mods on my bike, so I never have a reason to put my bike away and never sit on or touch it during the winter months.
Those bubbles just seem to be a HD gimmick if you ask me. I keep a Dehumidifier going all winter in my garage.
Just throw a nice clean sheet over it.

That requires effort and raises the utility bills...I just give a call to the Ether Bunny........hours of silence.

I use just a regualar cover with a "heat stick"..the "heat stick" is electric and gets warm...this way it draws all the humidity away from the bike...works great!!!
why spean $300 for a bubble when you can buy a cover for $25 bucks and the heat stick for around the same price

Cammy, i was right there with you! I almost pulled the trigger on one but then came to my senses. I slapped some new caulk on the windows got a dehumidifier and got a new cover. Who knows how many winters i'd get out of the bubble.
Get's bloody cold here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, never used a "bubble", I thought they were for people with too much disposable income

as I understand it, Scotland is wet and cold...
I'd think the cover and heat stick would work pretty well tho. if you can get the dehumidifier, that's likely be the best solution... could protect more than just the bike at that point.
of course, living in Texas, I just have to wait 48 hours from any point of bad weather and I'll have a new window to take her out and run around...

So how do you guys keep your dehumidifiers from freezing up in colder temps?
I just put a cover on my bikes and don't worry about them. My garage gets cold as a meat locker at times and sweats at times. I have 3 vehicles that have been stored in there for years. It hasn't hurt them.
