you would be surprised if you only new how much stuff still goes through those filters. Having one i guess is safer than not, but I'm also guessing that depending on where you ride could be a huge factor.

Sometimes you just gotta say F... it! And go... LMAO

I run one, and yes I heard a lot of talk but it's my bike and I'll do what I want to it. Sometimes if we are gonna do a lot of freeway riding I'll run a black stocking over it to catch some of the smaller rubbish... You know the ones that hit you in the face while going 80 on the freeway... lol

I've only had it on for a few months... No tuning problems at all... but like they said in the long run a filter would be your best bet. I just got tired of recharging the filter all the time... lol About a month ago I got hammed in the rain and made it home no prob without even a spudder. I know it's not the most practicle thing to have but, I only ride my bike once a week now a days and I'm going to enjoy it.

Do you think you could unbolt the screen from the stack and put in a piece of Uni Filter in there and then snug it all together???

tell me maybe... and I'm going to do it!

It may be to thick... That screen it comes with is pretty thick itself... I was looking at this?but it's kinda pricey if I don't know if it'll work... Maybe a machine shop can make one?
If it's inside it'll look better... There something funny about a velocity stack if you can see the filter. I'm thinking this could work? But just not willing to bet the 100.00 bucks just yet... lol
