Nice ride...I got kids your age and I can only worry about a 22 yrs old on a bike like that...take her easy and remember you have nothing to prove to anyone, don't want to read about you in the papers

Way to show the Ex a thing or two!
Also a wonderful way to soften the pain of a fugged relationship (been there, done that).

Nice bike! Get yourself educated so's you can answer the many questions that will be asked of you (about the bike).

And get your butt over to a riding class ASAP. I was riding 20 years before taking a class and I was stunned how much I did not know. Do it.

Welcome to the world of "Cool".

Nice bike,...
Best way to dis an ex,...(I've had 2), is to completely ignore her, like you don't miss her, or ever even knew her,...your a free man now, and you'll get lots of babes with that bad *** bike.

just got my half face helmet, i might go get a full face one too, because of the rain and weather here in washington.

Getting my leather jacket here today, (they are ****ing expensive!)

what are good glasses to wear for riding?

I will go get a manual today.

One of my ex girlfriends works at the MSF course here in town, so i am going to get on that asap! it just sux that its pouring rain right now, but i guess it would be good to learn in the shitty weather, and drop one of their bikes rather than mine!

The only thing that sux about all this, is all my friends ride dirtbikes. And not harley's.
So what do you guys recomend as far as finding folks to go ride with. Maybe even joining a MC club?
Wiley-X riding glasses ftw. They completely zeroize the wind shear, but let just enough air flow across your eyes. I got the poloarized ones with switch out lenses to clear ones for night riding and they look like regular shades.

Thanks for all the comments! I am going to take the RSC as soon as i figure out the schedule at work and when the class is available, But i am in Washington and it just started raining hard! i am not going to get much time to ride until spring.

I just passed my test and got my permit.

I have been taking it very easy on the bike, i am pretty responsible on the road and don't try no stupid S$%$^t.

So now i got some questions.
How often do you change the oil on this bike? and how many quarts does it take? whats the best oil to use?
Other components, like what parts are known to fail while riding more than others?
I want to do all the maintenance and service myself. I am very mechanically inclined and pretty sure i can handle it.

And wife number 2 is a good idea for a licence plate, but I think my Harley Deserves to be Wife #1. I cant wait till she sees the bike though...
Seriously, way to go kid. Congrats on pulling the trigger. It is nice to prove someone wrong, when they are wrong. But I suggest to let it go with the "ex-wife." You already have a GREEN bike....and novice riding skills. You really do not need any bad karma headed in your direction.

That bike looks GREAT! All the bells and whistles have be added at the right spots. As a first bike I would not have suggested it to you. You, as stated, have never rode motorcycles before. It is long, low and has a wide tire kit...this can be difficult to handle. So be careful. You will get the hang of it and enjoy the hell out of it!

Back to the ex-wife thing.....F-her.....plenty out there to enjoy.
