Very nice!! Post a pic of your bike when its back together. How and what did you use to polish the lowers? Does it look even better in person? Limited funds, need some cheap mods like that...

It looks way better in person, like mirror finish, hard to take a nice picture indoor with my iphone, Autosol polish is what I use, $5 each. It's not the polish, it's the sanding job, from 320 to 2000 took time, be patience and you will do even better.

Did you sand and polish by hand or use a certain tool, polisher?

sanded by hand, polished by electric drill and Flitz polish ball followed by hand polish
it will be much faster if you know how to use bench polisher to clean the sliders, I don't

I put the Z pads on mine back in May....no complaints... from what I've read about floating rotors, they are only "needed' for racing applications... street use is kind of a waste.... so I hear anyway...

Floating rotors will decrease stopping distance. That isn't a race only requirement.

Let me tell you why I use floating rotors, because I want black and steel two tone look, that's all. I never had problem with stock brake, I downshift more than braking no kiddn'

I think every rice rocket has floating rotors, nothing fancy.
