I actually do both listen to my Ipod and just listen to the bike. wide variety ZZ top, Metallica, Slipknot, Motley Crue etc.

i should have put the 3rd option in.......depends on mood........ on a short journey i always listen to my bike.......its the longer journeys that i like my tunes unless my mates with me then we just talk via the intercom.

pndegc - i can picture you bro on the open road singing along to sharp dressed man.......

Yeah you needed the third option.... I am just the opposite though. I have the tunes on around town or short rides but when it's time to hit the longer days I don't run them.

never tried riding with tunes, hate those little head phones, prefer those big bad 80's style head phones...dont think i will get them in my helmet!

I usually have '60s & '70s classic rock on Sirius. Makes the long days much more pleasurable.
