Baby is reaching the point where she will need new shoes. At 7500 miles, the stock Dunlops are beginning to show lots of wear.
I intend to replace the stock 160 Dunlop with a 170/60 17 Metzler (which is susposed to approach 180 width) on the rear and a 90/90 21 Metzler (a little wider than stock) on front. Both are radial tires.
Is anyone currently running this setup? If so, then how do you like it?
David, I spoke with the Service Manager at the local stealership yesterday about the tires. He said that they could install a SE 180 Dunlop on the rear without any mods. Problem is...the Dunlop is a bias ply tire, so I can't install a radial (read fatter) tire on front. I would have to go with another (read stock) bias ply tire.
I think that the Metzlers will work for me. Zanotti's have them at a good price.
