Default Forward Controls on Softails

Hey y'all!

I'm a short rider, only 5'8" and I'm having a tough time getting comfortable on the bike with the forward controls. I have to sit really close to the gas tank and when I want to step on the foot break, I have to pick my foot up off the controls. I ride a 95 Softail with Kuryakyn controls. They also include stirrups.

Do you guys know if I can move the controls closer to me and if I can substitute the foot break with one that has a shorter lever? Is it possible to add floorboards like on a fat boy or heritage? I'm most concerned with comfort. Looks are secondary to me.

Thanks for the help!

Default RE: Forward Controls on Softails

Hmmmm.... I'm 5'8 with fairly short legs, and I find the stock control positions/lengths on my Night Train to be perfect for me. Maybe the Kuryakyn control levers are longer? I can't really help with your other questions, but I'm sure someone else will be able to chime in with an answer.

Cheers!
