95 FLSTF Starting problem
Hey guys, recently my starter has not been working so well on my 1995 FLSTF with 12K miles. In the morning when I go to fire it up it clicks once only as I press the start button (sounds like solenoid sticking or not engaging) then finally fires up no problem. After I ride around or when the bike is hot, I will press the start button again and keep getting the click. Not a clicking of a dead battery but a single click. Am I having solenoid problems? stater relay? not really sure. please help

have a 94 that was doing the same thing there is a little solenoid kit that you can buy that has a new copper disc, spring and a couple of other little goodies in it. it's a solenoid rebuild kit. stuffs just getting old in there. develops crud between all the parts. kind of a pain to do one starter bolt faces one way and the other faces opposite. primary cover needs to come off to get to both bolts. don't know your abilities but i give it a 3 out of 10 difficulty. hope this helps.
