Default Starter Problem

Friday morning I got on my '94 FLSTC to head down to Galveston, Tx for the Lone Star Rally and OhShit!!! I hit the starter button and CLICK... CLICK... Then it turns over like nothing was wrong and fires right up. After that, all weekend it would fire up. Sometimes it would hesitate, sometimes it would crank right up. Do I need to change my starter out or is this problem like a bad bendix on an old Ford? Is this a hard job or a simple one for somebody with mild wrenching skills?

Have you taken your battery cables off, cleaned them and the battery posts?

When you're done cleaning your contacts on the battery, make sure your post bolts are tight, real tight. If you have an Interstate battery in there,It's best to put a dab of loctite on the bolts, they have a habit of losening up.
