I think that Bells are an American thing, never saw or knew about a bell on a H-D until I came here 9 years ago. By the way, I don't buy bells nor want one on my bike.
Means thier superstitious,and or want others to think they know something that only real bikers know.I've been riding 35 years and only the newbies seem to be the ones doing it.
I know a DEA agent who's had one on his bike for 15+ years.

last easter was riding looked back for a second (thought i saw bikini) when i looked forward a car was in my lane about 30 mph over the speed limit in no passing zone. I just said to my self im dead it was about 30 yards in front of me there was a guard rail on the side of the road about 2 feet off the road. we passed with him in my lane I have no idea how i didnt crash i had no where to go anyway am i gonna take that bell off hell no! dont care if you believe and i dont think the bell did it but something did ill take any help i can get even if its wise tail

I put one on my bike...I like the story...if someone asks, it's a neat story to tell. I don't give the bell credit for any real power...I look to God to watch over me.
Hey some like 'um some don't, I have a bell on mine as do many of the guys and gal's I know. Most people don't even see it. A guy I worked with used to bust on me for the bell, he hit some sand and went down, slow speed and hurt his pride more than anything, maybe the bell would have helped....LOL. I'll keep my bell.
