Default Thundermax autotune for 06 with opened loop system

I am thinking to get TM autotune for my 06 Fatboy TC88, I am currently running an opened loop system but I like to take advantage of the auto tuning, can I drill holes on the front pipes and add O2 bungs? Did anyone do that on a pre 07? Thanks!

Yes I did it. I marked a spot 4-6 inches from the headers, and brought it to a Meineke. Got it done for 40 bucks. Enjoy the autotune.

Thanks bud! So is it just plug and play? Do you have to do any adjustment? Is it complicated? I am planning to do that for future mod like head and jugs, don't want to pay for dyno tune every single time.

It's pretty much plug and play. You can mess with it if you want to, but it's not necessary. You just load the appropriate base map, and ride. That's it. What I like to do is every 2 weeks, I write the learned fuel offsets to the unit, making that the new base map so it can learn even more. Again, it's not necessary, but I like to do it. You can also tune the maps for better fuel economy, or better performance. Here's a thread that's over a 100 pages where they talk about all of that stuff and more. http://www.*****************/forums/ef...auto-tune.html. But again, if you want to just set it and forget it, that's perfectly acceptable. Whatever you do, you won't be disappointed with the autotune. Best money I ever spent.

Do you know how much hp/tq you got out of your bike? Did you do anything beside 95ci? Cams? Heads? Thanks again!

I have no idea about the tq/hp except that it's really fun to ride. The cams are just the SE203 cams that come with the big bore kit. Some day I plan to build up the engine but I have to save up for that. With the autotune, the motorcycle just feels smooth in every power range.

FYI there is a new program for the thundermax and it has added a button to do the autotune map update with one click. very cool. it still has the 10% + - so learned offsets should only be needed once
