Default Starting hicup when hot
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. It's getting annoying. When I restart hot, sometimes it hits and dies, sometimes it backfires out the intake. Mods in sig. I'm hoping after the cam and new map it might change.

mine did that a few times till I had the stg1, SERT, and dyno done cant remember it since.

sounds like its a little lean, not sure what you have for a tuner but if you can adjust it bump up the idle setting. There is also enrichment for starting, some can't be adjusted. If you have cams and a new map installed I'd put it on a dyno. too JMO

No cams yet. Just the stage 1 and PCIII. The map is from FuelMoto. I added a bit more fuel at idle and dropped the timing a couple degrees. I suspect the timing may be part of the issue, but it doesn't do it all the time. Usually it only does it when I stop somewhere and some guy on a metric bike is close by when I start it back up. Go figure.

Also, mine does it occasionally. Just give it a little bit of gas when starting it - works for me every time.

Try tapping the starter switch to turn the motor over. This will open the exhaust ports and release the compression that has built up. I do this every time when I restart a hot motor and have had no problems since.
