Get the detachable backrest. I take it you do mean for the passenger, right?

I assume you are talking about rider backrest
Mustang 17.5 solo with backrest on my 06 Fatboy, I think it is overprice to just buy a backrest, that's why I go for the whole seat combo and it is adjustable and detachable.

I thought so. Definately go with the detachable uprights. As far as height and backpad, you should let you passenger decide. I take it, it is your better half, and if shes happy, you'll be happy.

I like this one but it won't fit my bike http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_CA
I went for the Kuryakyn raptor, came with pad but I took that off.

I went with the medium lo for my 09 Fatboy. Wife loves it. Plus you can get one of the travelbags that slip over it to keep your junk in for longer rides.

I took a stock HD rack and back rest and had it powder coated, I like it a lot. Very cool on a black out bike.
