RE: Slip ons
I ran quite a while with the screaming eagle slip-ons, without the air cleaner and download. I eventualy did get the filter and download, not for 0-60 time, but it makes a big improvement on torque. You can accelerate in a gear at a much lower RPM without downshifting or chugging along untill you rev up the motor. Definatley pulls stronger in each gear. I recommend it for that alone.

I bought a set of SE slip-ons. Just hoping that the old mufflers come off easily. Do you need to remove the entire head pipe to separate the two pieces, or can the head pipe stay on while replacing the mufflers?

RE: Slip ons
My dealer told me that there is no need to download with just slip-ons....you want to add the download, PCIII, or SERT when you modify your air and add an air kit.
I had the Cycle Shack slip-ons before getting my V&H and they rocked.....the best sounding as far as slip-ons....my roommate had the SE II slip-ons on her Heritage and the sound didn't even compare.....so she bought mine from me and LOVES them....they are the Cycle Shack turnouts!!!
