Great Idea! I bought the same lights and am in the process of making the mounting plate. I'm trying to mount the lights flush and have the bracket closer to the rear. I really like what you've done and may change my design.
Can you post some pics of how you mounted the bracket to the fender and the wiring? I think it will look great when you are finished.
Only potential issue is most states require the signals to be a set distance apart. if a vehicle was coming from behind and you were in the middle lane of a highway at night and signal for a lane change the person might not realize which direction you're actually wanting to go. I have signals built into the light but they are actually directional in nature to indication left/right
