Default Timing cover question?

Is it an easy undo the 5 screws and replace cover? Or do I need a gasket or might any parts come out?

Thanks.

short answer no, it has nothing in it, old days they had breaker points, that's why they are called timing cover.

Cool.

I saw a picture with stuff in one, and the others were just an empty space.

5 screws are a dead giveaway as to there is notin behind that cover but a sweet stash spot. 2 screws and you got guts back there.

Well I guess that would have been a GOOD question to ask first. But I guess sometimes I just get stuck knowing what I can do with mine and assume everyone else can do the same.
