looking for a new seat for my deluxe. would like to move back from the tank a little bit and maybe "recline" in it, sitting back some more. also if i could get some low back support from the passenger pillon that would be great. any advice??? i have looked at mustang seats, or should i stick with an HD seat.

I know you are looking for a seat for a Deluxe, but check out the questions I posted last night. Bizarre...
check out MeanCityCycles. They modified my stock Deluxe seat. Carved it out and put memory foam. For $140, well worth it. It's like having a new seat. I now really sit in it, with backing support. Maybe lowered me an inch. Real comfortable. That's all you need.
If you like closely at my pic, you can see the bucket/backing that is now in the seat after the mod.
man everyone has their own ideas. You mention mustang...well they are by far the most comfy seat out there but IMO I do not like them. I like to be in the bike and mustang puts so much in the seat your right back on top of the bike (one reason they feel like a lazyboy). Your old school king and queen seats give you allot of lower back support it puts you in the bike as well. That said it is not a taste that everyone likes. (like the one netvampire linked)
Some like the two up and some like the solo. I myself love LePera. I have the daytona two up regal it is a smaller version of the touring seat and kind of a low version of the king queen seat. They also have the smooth if your not into the pillow look. They have the maverick (this is real supportive!!!) and it is a all day touring seat! LePera is top of the line quality but still keeps the lines of the bike.
Many run the barebones but that is like setting on the battery.
Anther option is to have your stock seat reworked and then buy a driver lower back support from firehouse. Check out NETVAMPIRE above. He posted on it a while back and it is cool back support that will work with your stock seat. Once you get it reworked to drop you down and back it will work with the pillion.
good luck!!!

thanks for all the advice. think i will send the seats out to meancity this winter when the bike goes into hibernation. figure that can keep my *** happy for a while, and if not i am not out too much cash. thanks for all the advice
Hey HOGBOB, that C&C seat looks great! Does it mount to the frame or to the standard mounts at the rear of the seat? Was it custom made or one of their stock saddles? Been looking for a 200 mile + per day seat that looks good and is confortable for my '05 Lux. More info and pics please! Thanks!
