I love the look, but want to be seen as soon as possible by the idiot on the phone behind me.
So I have all LED's in the back in the stock housings (except for the tail light).
But if I were to go the way you want I would consider getting LED's that fit the end of the fender struts and wire them up to double as turn and brake lights. That way when the bike is sitting or running it all looks clean, but turn or hit the brake and even if the guy behind you is offset to one side so your tail light is hidden from him, he can still see at least one of the strut lights coming on.

Something like this should work.

I agree. When it comes to safety, function trumps form.

like some others have said:

1. Double check your laws and see if you are allowed to run without rear turn signals without getting pulled over and ticketed

2. there is no such thing as to visible for the dumb cagers...even with turn signals with the running kit its not enough for them.

(side note: one of these days I think i am going to put a small front light on the rear bumper and leave it on, scare the crap out of the cager cause they will think I am driving backwards lol...maybe then they will pay attention lol)

go for what makes you happy. if it is your time to get run over then at least you enjoyed the ride. I dont think any amount will stop a cage if they are that stupid. i was rear ended in the daytime riding a goldwing and the driver said they did not see me. reflective jacket is good so they know that they hit you and where you flew off to.
as for me i have 3 tail lamps that flash. even a single flashing is better than 3 steady. got a rear alert from ebay for under 20 delivered. simple and works with all tail lamps.

those flashers that are added to your existing light are pretty neat.

I'm surprised some of you even ride if your that worried about being hit how do you enjoy the ride? Or does a blinking light just make you feel safer? SE22 I've got tiny leds drilled to my fender, but when I had the stock fender I had them mounted to the splash gaurd. Small, low and out of the way. Also legal. Which is the only reason I have them. Never use them a hand signal works better I think.

I think turn signals look good. They are chrome and shine and light up. What's not to like?

yea the bobbers have a sweet spot to run the blinkers, I tried mounting mine on the fender directly but I have a small clearance issue on one side when I lower the bike all the way
