Amen, with the danger of cagers I put mine up front. I try to stay as far back of the line as possible and 5-0 has not messed with it yet. Generally speaking, the po-po up in Reno/Tahoe seems to give bikers some slack. I've even seen judges up here give a break to Harley riders.

The local boys will ticket you for parking on the sidewalk, I usually just grab a parking space and try to park in the center to avoid swinging doors. Around here most don't mess with HD's cuz they think all HD riders are some kind of bad asses, although my one friends got his helmet ripped off from on his seat (they left the HD guantlet gloves though) out side a bar and grill at lunch one day. I have a helmet lock, but only use it if I plan on being inside a while, otherwise it sit's on my highway pegs. I used to put it on the mirror, but now have a nice concave dent on my tank from a windy day.

That makes it more likely that it will be hit by someone just not payin enough attention. Also, Ive seen cagers get out of their cars and be seriously pissed about the bike taking up a car sized spot. Theres a lot of crazies out there trying to get to dunkin donuts, and it doesnt take much to push over a bike in the midst of a parking lot rage. I'd rather avoid em than have to deal with em.
Speaking as some who is disabled, the spaces between Handicap parking spaces are not for motorcycle parking! Many handicaped people need that extra room for opening doors wider, getting out wheel chairs, using service vans etc. So unless you have a disability, park in a regular space and use the two good legs you were born with! If you do have a disability, park in the handicaped space because others may need that extra room between the spaces.

Cant remember the last time I took my Harley to a store like that. I'll take my ZX10R and park it up on the sidewalk, but out of the way of everything. I won't give anybody reason to mess with the bike. Otherwise I'll just grab a parking spot in the lot.

Man,...... You guys critique EVERYTHING! LOL

Are you okay with me wearing white underwear????? (Not too many hash marks).

I park up on the sidewalk near the door, but out of pedestrian traffic.
I am never there long. Not like I am grocery shopping with only 2 saddlebags.
Not like the fools that go to the movies. No windows to watch your bike, two hour safety-zone for the thieves..

A bike is for riding (or sitting in front of a tavern).
A bike is not for shopping and movie-going. A quick errand to the hardware store is one thing, but to wander around the store all day with the sunshine out? C'mon man. Let's get real.

haha, very true, I dont have any bags , so I really never go to the store on my bike, i guess im refering more to a local bar, or place to grab a bite to eat than an actual store
