So, if I bought sheet metal from a softail standard...all the holes and everything line right up...dont have to fill in any holes? just want to make sure before I purchase the sheetmetal from a softail standard, paint it and put it on my Night Train...

Go for it...all the sheetmetal between Softail STD, Springer Softail (in this case except the front fender) and Night Train...are all the same.

i recently replaced my 06 softail standard tank, with one from an 06 night train injected.
i have a carbed bike.
i did have to by a adapter from pingel to mount the carbuerated petcock to the injected tank.
everything else lined upped and plugged in.
nice unit from pingel bought directly from thier website.
