The part in the pic with the bar and shield on it is an add on part. Take those off and you should be able to get a socket on the front one and a wrench on the back on.

See what ya mean about no room. Fyi... Spark plug sockets are available with a hex head in addition to the ratchet bar. Maybe that would work. Otherwise, lift the tank a tad. I have a socket like that it comes in handy on some cars/trucks (and motorcyles). But don't remember where i got.

well okay then. Hg...i have the fillers on mine and they do not have to come off to change the plug.

his is a deuce tank NOT a softail...............take the filler piece off and use a wrench or socket like hg said

deuce is a softail...i know what you mean is that the deuce fuel tank is longer/diff shape than other softails (except the rocker)

They make spark plug sockets with a hex on the top end that you can put an open end wrench on . Looks to me that it would work.

yes correct the petcock is in a diff spot on the softail tank then the (softail) deuce tank
