Default Wheels and lower suspension

Want to lower my ride now with the 16" stock wheels I have on there now. But soon to put 18" wheels with low profile tires. My question is how much will the bike raise with the 18's on? With the low profile suspension it only lowers it about an inch? Kind of confused about lowering the bike then throwing a bigger wheel on there because I think the 18's look awesome on bikes with low profile tires. Am I defeating the purpose lowering the bike if I go to the 18's? Any input will be appreciated.Thanks...Ray

Your new 18 inchers will be the same size as your 16 inchers. You are only loosing your sidewall hieghth.

When you go with lower profile tires and 18" wheels the total circomfrance of the tire and wheel won't change much if any. So when you lower the ride with the supension it will look nice. I wold suggest not using the harley lowering kit. I had this kit and it reduces the total throw of the shock and rides like crap. I suggest either progressives 422 or maybe harley's low profile shock. I have the progressive's and like the way they ride. Keep in mind ride is deifinately an 'opinion' and thats mine ( i don't ahve the back for a slammed ride anymore!).
