Default Springer Seat ideas for Softail Custom

New to site. Apologies if I'm asking something that has been discussed previously.

I am looking for some recommendations on a good spring seat for an '09 softail custom. I like the Crossbones seat, but am looking for something leaner with some confort. Any ideas wood be appreciated.

Thanks, Joel

the most comfortable thing is a seat that has a good rise in the back.. and the proper spring hight so you do not end up falling behind

I tried a few setups and my current seat is very lean and although it is almost barebones, I find it ok for 4-5 hours a day of riding. but I have the luxury of a kit that allows me to drill holes and move the seat up and down and experminted with few springs until I found the right setup.

I cover the frame cover of the kit with rabbit fur to hide the drills

btw : mine is 01 standard so you will have to find the proper kit for your year model, I would go with the XBones cover myself.

Look at some of the X BONZ threads. Some of those guys have some cool looking sheet and I'm sure you will find something you like. When you do just ask them they are all cool dudes and will help you anyway that they can. Also talk to Shaun at Sokustoms.com For your battery cover. He does some of the best work that I have seen ... IMO

I was thinking about using the Xbones hardware since it does a good job covering the battery, etc. Was figuring I could mod a seat to fit the hardware kit
