I bought the same wind screen as abnmarine, and have yet to use it, but it does look good.Same situation, my father wanted to buy it for me so what could I say.So when the weather gets cold I think i'll throw it on.
Did your's come with the mounting hardware? I didn't order any and hoped it was part of the shield.
I with you guys on the look of a windshield. I dont like the way it looks on my fatty. However when you are doing 75 on the slab it sure is nice. Only takes one little pebble or bug to really **** me off. Oh yeah and not getting the hell beat out of my the wind is nice too.
Put it on when you want and off when you dont it that easy.

I've got a detatchable windshield for my Deuce and I'm very happy with it. It take's care of the sand, gravel, etc. that you find on these Minnesota roads not to mention the BUGS. If you're just cruze'n around town I like to take it off though. The Deuce just looks bad a$$ when you get rid of that windshield. In my opinion. It only takes 3 seconds to take it off.
I bought the windshield for my Fatty, detachable and added the passing lamp kit as well. Now I have two different looks for the bike. When I put the stock seat on with the detachable backrest and the windshield its looks very conservative, but very comfortable for highway driving and a passenger. Around town the windshield comes off, so does the backrest and seat, I throw on the Badlander seat and cruise to strip. Two bikes in one. Got to love it!!!
I don't particularly like the looks of the windshield on my Fatty but, it sure spoils me quick, especially in cool and cold weather. It's off now that it's warm outside. The nice thing is, it's my choice to use it or not.
I got the Nostalgic Windshield for my new Deluxe..and I would post a picture or 2 if I got the damned thing...still wating after ordering and dropping deposit back on 5/12..getting lameass excuse about backordered parts Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I have a detachable windshield for my FatBoy. I couldn't live without it. It has the versatility that I like. I can use it for travelling on long trips, but can take it off easily when I want to just putz around town. I definately like the look better without the windshield, but whatchagonnado.
