Default Detachable Windshield

I wasn't going to get one for the night train, mostly cause I like the look so much without the windshield. but then my grandpa wanted to buy one for me, so what can I say?

I bought a detachable one with the skull/wings on the front to kinda help keep that mean look. don't know what I think yet cause I don't wanna take it out in the rain. when it quits rainin I'll giver her a try. I think I'll still mostly ride with it off, but man for those long freeway rides it's kinda nice to have that wind slowed down a bit.

I bought a Memphis Shades windshield with purple tint to match the bike. Had it off all week while I was in Myrtle Beach, but it's nice to have it sometimes when I'm on a fairly long ride at home. Sometimes the day starts out nice but cools off at night.

Looks like windshield, hardware kit and installation was $225. I think....... Part of the bill was to rejet carb and drill stock air breather backer plate (which is now history).

I understand how you feel on keeping the look. I just ordered the following windshield to be used on long rides. Eventually I'll start taking my bike on trips instead of driving the cage. Here is what I ordered.

I'm not sure how it will look on a Night Train but I'll give it a shot. It is tinted so that might help some.

I'm sure it'll look good dude. I picked a big one not for looks, but I thought when I do want one I'll wanna break the wind. If I was gonna keep it on all the time then I'd pick a smaller one. But I like the skull at least. I'm not a big skull guy, this is proly the only skull I'll have on the bike.

I have a few skull items on the bike already. Honestly I wanted the shield due to rocks flying up and hitting me in the face. Between rocks, sand and large bugs I get it everytime I go out on a ride. That and blocking the wind off of me on those cool mornings. Hell now I could ride the bike in in the winter as well.
I added a backrest and Sundowner seat to please the wife so my mean look is fading away anyways. I hope I don't loose the drag bars......
