Default Mounting Plate Help?

I am fabricating a mounting plate for my swingarm bag. I am thinking that I will make a back plate which will bolt to the bag using the existing mounting holes. I will then mount the plate to the bike using the existing belt guarge bolt holes and just use longer bolts and spacers.

My question, is where to get a piece of thin metal plate. I thought about diamond plate, but am open to ideas. I will probably have the plate powdercoated black.

thanks, I was going to check there tomorrow. I don't want to strap the bag to the swingarm and wear the powdercoat off, so a mounting bracket will fix the problem. A few guys on here have made them, but I am just brainstorming for something different.

Got ya. The easy way... wrap electrical tape around your arm where the straps hit. I also removed the leather straps and made them into bands around the swingarm then used hose clamps around the leather. Rock solid and hasn't touch my pc, been on for two years now. Happy hunting
