Default Leather works chopper bag question

Got a leather works on my 2010 fat boy and love the damn thing. I want to do a side license plate......Any ideas???? Before adding the plate I was going to use the bracket from the factory exhaust on the belt cover bolt as it was a perfect fit and lined up great and was FREE but now with the bag it will be 2-3" short.
Anyone do anything like this??? If not then I will need to play around and come up with something but thought I would see if there were any ideas out there....

You could mount the plate on the back of the bag as I have seen done before. I am sure there is some sort of setup that will work, I gotta check into it. Maybe on teh right side somewhere instead of the left.

You could get some thin gauge aluminum to make a backing plate for inside the bag and bolt your plate to the backing plate "sandwiching" the leather between the plates. You could use the LED plate bolts so you can be legal as well

WOW that was a fast reply. -LOL I thought about the right side and putting a plate under the right pass foot peg. I have not seen it mounted to the bag yet. If you find something let me know. Also, What brands of handlebars do you deal with? I am going to do a set in the next few weeks.
Cheers
