Outlaw Cycle Products, on ebay, has some chrome wire wheels at 10% off right now. Check it out. Anyone have any dealings with this seller? He has great feedback.
Not a big fan of the "fat daddy" type spokes on a Heritage Softail Classic, and also not a fan of paying $800 and up per wheel. So after keeping my eye on eBay for quite a while, yesterday I managed to score two Harley-Davidson 80-spoke chrome wire wheels for $699 -- for BOTH wheels. That's two wheels for less than the price of one. In addition, these come with the bearings installed, so no additional installation kit is required. I feel like Christmas has come early! Should have them next week, and will post pics. See the wheels here.

That's a really good deal. I've been trying to figure what kind of wheels to put on my Fatboy. I really like the look of spokes, but I've been leaning toward a pair of solid machine cut wheels, because it seems like they would be a lot easier to keep clean, which is good for me because I'm reallly lazy.

Well, I'm pretty lazy, too, but I'm also retired and have nothing but time on my hands. My bike is my hobby -- riding it, cleaning it, customizing it -- and for me the act of sitting down and carefully cleaning 160 spokes can be more relaxing (with beer and radio nearby) than yoga or Zen meditation. It's all in how you look at it.
