Well, I'm pretty lazy, too, but I'm also retired and have nothing but time on my hands. My bike is my hobby -- riding it, cleaning it, customizing it -- and for me the act of sitting down and carefully cleaning 160 spokes can be more relaxing (with beer and radio nearby) than yoga or Zen meditation. It's all in how you look at it.
