Hi new here. Sold my sportster last spring and wanting a softail. I have found a couple 2007 standards for 11000. ONE HAS 4000 miles on it, and vance and hines pipes. would this be a decent price on this model? Thanks Z
Sounds like a good price to me considering the mileage. At 4k everything should be good to go, just do the 5k service when (if) you buy it then you can have peace of mind knowing everything is fresh. I would jump on it, pretty sure that was the last year the Standard was made.
To me it would depend on if the bike was painted with a gloss color or that flat black color (Cheapest of the Softtails) also. It would also depend on if it was a no chrome from the factory or a bike with at least a little chrome.

4k is low miles, considering the bike is almost 3 yrs old. I agree- do the 5k service right away, just for piece of mind. Yes, 2007 was the last year the Softail Standard (FXST) was produced for US sales (they continued to make it internationally).

Flat black was not a color option for 2007. The FXST comes from the MOCO without chrome covers on the engine. It's a silver (natural) color. In 2007, they also produced the FXSTC (Softail Custom), that has a black highlighted engine, different seat, sissy bar, and handlebars.

the '07 Standard was offered in vivid black, fire red pearl, pacific blue pearl and pewter pearl. it also had the least chrome of any of the softtails. new they were approx $16k.
IMO the price is pretty good if it checks out. I'd suggest taking it to a mechanic to have it checked out.
As others have said: If the bike checks out with that low milage and you do the 5K service then go for it. Nice thing about a Standard is everything you do to it makes it uniquely your bike and not so Standard anymore.
