I have Leather Pros saddlebags and really like the quality of these around $700 is what I paid. They have a really easy removable mechanism so they come off in seconds. I don't know how much you are looking to spend but there is no reason to put some cheap bags on a nice new bike IMO. That is if money is not an issue of course.

that sounds like the way i will go for bags easy bracket..though i will go with leather bags.. so the bags are secure enough with no bottom brace ? its a pain when i havent seen the set up in person, guess i need to get out more... now back to your haulen *** backrest..
I had looked at the pics of the haulen *** backrest you have.. I have seen a few on the road but not standind still so i can get a good look.. is it sturdy enough ? i had seen you had bags strapped to it for long travel but im concerned about the weight of my wife leaning back on it.. (no shes not a hog , just the bike ) but over a period of time.. it also looked like there was only one screw holding the pad.. i looked at other pics of that set up and seemed the pad was tilted (from only one screw it would pivot yeah ? )

I have Boss bags on my 08 and have had good sucess with them. They are not cheap but do come with their own brackets which mount easily and its easy to get the bags on and off. They do also offer different sizes too. I have had mine for two years now with no problems.

Might look into edge saddle bags with the ghost brackets. Mine are on the way, I like the fact that the brackets are lockable and the bags will never lose their shape...

i have had a few complaints that they did not trust it or wanted a higher backrest. i had a 170lb drunk girl on the back and it held her....did i just say that? must of been my friend had the drunk girl on back.
i just saw the new harley convertible and they have a nice release and a bottom brace.
