how many of you guys have one? I am looking at a snake skin lepera silohette for my deluxe and would like to see pics of others to maybe get a better idea. thanks
I do not know about others but LePera does not use real exotics. It is normally vinyl that has been pressed to have the texture of the exotic. I have a buddy that got their large gator print and after a while his *** press out the texture. Did not look right after that. He went with another seat later and the smaller print (ostrich) and only put it on the sides and it looked great and has stood up well!!
My uncle has a show bike that he has a real snake skin seat made from Texas rattlesnake and it is very cool but he only uses it for show and swaps it out for another to ride. I do not know why, people use this leather for boots and they would take more abuse on your feet then on a bike.
Tell LePera what you are looking at and they will send you samples so that you can see them up close before you buy!!!
No personal experience but a review on seats a few years ago cautioned to stay away from material that would be uncomfortable on long rides like ostrich. Like BigSeaDaddy said it could be used on the sides but on the butt area you need to stay smoother.
