I've been searching the threads and vendors without much luck. I'm looking for a mini to small padded back rest with a nice rack on back (luggage). I'd like it to be detachable as well but am interested in a way to lock it on the bike too.
I wanna be able to hook a locking bag onto the rack for my rain gear and a few different items, but the rack has to be secure as well.
Harley makes a backrest/sissy bar that locks to the bike. I don't know the part number, but it was on my softail when I bought it. I broke the lock trying to get it off and had to unbolt it to remove it. You can also get the rack for the sissy bar for your bag to rest on if you like.
I have both the haulen *** backrest and the harley backrest with luggage rack. I use a swingarm bag for most items. Rule is dont leave anything on the bike you cant afford to loose.
I have the larger road king backrest but also the smaller one that comes with the haulen *** backrest. it is for sale too
