Default Rocker c Handle Bar Question

I'm trying to find a nice set of bars to replace the factory bars with. I want to put on some apes but I don't want to go too big. I stand 6'0" tall and really don't feel comfartable with my arms on a downward angle. Do you think the "fat mini apes" that H-D sells would work on my setup, bringing my arm reach up a little? I'm also gonna be swapping the stoc seat out with a regular rocker seat and adding the 2 up seat configuration. Excuse my ignorance but this is my first h-d and really appreciate you guys' help.

I believe the H-D mini-apes have a 10" rise which would not be much of a change from the stock Rocker bars. I've got 12" apes and my hands are about level with my shoulders - I am 5'-9". If you want to get a feel for what that position is like, when you're coasting on the bike, grab the tops of the stock mirrors - that's about how high my bars are.

I think with you being 6-foot tall, you might want to go with 14" apes, though.

Good luck!

You need 14"'s or 16"s at 6' tall. Find some bikes with apes on them and have a seat on them to try them on for size.

sit on the bike and hold a broomstick out at the height you'd like your hands to be at. have someone measure the height and viola! there's your comfort zone for a set of apes.
