I have been looking for the right mirrors and have been to dozens of websites including the links you guys have sent me. Wow, one of you sent a link to some mirrors that were $400. The mirrors I like for appearance and price are here: http://www.d2moto.com/Universal-Blac...ackxttt003.htm $60 for the pair.
HD Forums is a great resource and you showed me websites and parts that I never would have found on my own.
Visited Joker Machine in person last week and was given a tour of their facilities including manufacturing floor. Came away very impressed. Made on the spot here in the good ole USA.
Going back Monday to try out a few mirrors. Will have new handlebars installed by then and this way I'll be able to see how they look and work before I purchase.
In Southern California, where it seems like evey car on the road is out to kill you, I've been using these mirrors to keep an eye on what's sneaking up behind me. The cool factor is only so so, but they are definitely practical.
I'm running these from Joker Machine.. They've got several different styles but these provide good visibility too.. They ain't cheap though..
Those mirrors are awesome. I checked them out on the Joker Machine website and thought hey... $114.95 that's not so bad and then I looked a little closer and realized they were $114.95 each. Yikes!
I run the black Ness "Mini Ovals" on my junk. Not a big fan of Ness chrome - have some Ness Rads on my Vmax and they are pitted to hell. Black is doing just fine and you can see much more with this oval style - the Rads get smaller on the outside or far side from the stalk and thats where you need your most vision. How about a set with built in turns? That would clean up the front end some? Let us know what you decide on? +1 for the Joker stuff - got thier air cover for my Big Sucker and it's high quality.
Back in the days, MIRRORS! what the heck are those???? Think I'm getting old cause now it's a pain on/in the neck always looking around for the man. I discovered mirrors now.... bike's not as clean looking anymore....
