Default Sturgis 2010

I'm thinking of heading to Sturgis this year. I have never but want to experiance it at least once. The problem is that due to my work schedule I can only go about two weeks before the rally starts. Is it worth my time? Will I still get some of the craziness that Sturgis has to offer?

My parents go a week or 2 before the rally officially starts. They like being able to get out and ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Traffic is horrible while the rally is going on. They also stay in Sturgis the week after the rally.... they wait 'til then to get close-out deals on their event t-shirts and goodies!

Yes. I was there in'08,a week before the rally, still plenty of bikes and bikers. The up side is you can get a room or camp siteand the traffic is managable. The down side is,the mayhem only starts just before the rally dates. There is some great riding and sight seeing in the area,do it and you'll have to come back. Once you've been there you have to come back.
