That being the case if I drain the primary I should detect it since I run HD 20/50 and its clear. Right?
If i drain the primary and theres no red in it this more than likely was fluke or a vent tube maybe?
Actually its Belray.
Or the seal between the tranny and the primary. It is possible for the tranny oil to just drip if the seal is broken as opposed to going into the primary.

Ok. I'm gonna have them check it out in a couple weeks when I take it in for a rear tire. I also have a Feb 6 departure for florida I'll be trailering it down. So I'll know before that trip is up one way or another.
I've started the bike and let it run 3 times now since that 1st occurence just trying to get it to leak and it appears not to be leaking again.
Fired it up let it run about 10 mins it leaked about 1/2 tbls. Fired it up 3 times since let it run and no leaks! Am i on candid camera?
So instead of freaking out I called my dealer. Explained it to him. He said probably the shift shaft seal. Which makes since since i ran it through the gears this time but didnt tell him that. He said "about $300.00 parts and labor" but also said might as well do the output shaft seal while theyre in there which wouldnt be more labor but would be cost of extra seal. Sound about right?
Update: Heres what i got. Qouted prices for seal job and rear tire.
Dealer #1 $623.00
Dealer #2 $745.00
Indy $420.00
Indy said all the right things. He's gonna do output seal and shift shaft seal w/ inner primary seals. Plus rear tire all for $420.00. I have a thursday appt to take it there.
