Default 09 wheels on 07 fatboy

Hello,

Thanks to all who respond to my first post here! I ride an 07 Fatboy. Because I didn't stay on top of keeping the wheels clean, they now show a fair amount of the dreaded oxidation. I picked up a new pair of factory chrome wheels with tires, bearings, rotors, and pulley- the whole shebang off craigslist for $450. The seller took them off his '09 at zero miles. My 07 has the offset front wheel, (corrected in later years). My question is- will these wheels simply bolt up? Or do I have to change the fork lowers to the 09 model? Are there any spacers or anything else that I need? Thanks again.

you wont have to change the lowers but proly the spacers no big deal but the 09 rear wheel is a 1inch or 25mm axel and the 07 is 3/4 so your kinda screwed there

you can use the 09 wheels if you use 07 bearings in them and your 07 spacers.

So, tk353, if I understand correctly, the front wheel should fit without changing bearings, provided I use the existing spacers from the 07? The rear should fit as long as I swap the bearings from the 07 to the 09 wheels? One more question, do most folks who remove the bearings for one reason or another just replace them right away, or do they reuse them? Thanks

you have to use 07 bearing on both front and rear. most change them because they are cheap and if you dont have the expensive harley tool you may damage it when removing.
Harley wants 80 a pair, that is one axial. aftermarket are 40
same spacers for the 07 if the 09 are stock wheels that were chromed. if aftermarket rims then you need to but bearings for the 07 for those rims from the mfg
